Our Vision

Thousands upon thousands of Marines have left their imprint upon the coastal expanse of North and South Carolina that encompasses: Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune:  Marine Corps Air Stations Cherry Point, New River, and Beaufort: and auxiliary air fields. During their rigorous training here, our sea-service men and women coalesced into well-honed, air-ground task forces that participated in almost every significant military operation undertaken by our nation, providing everything from humanitarian assistance to sustained air and ground combat.

The Museum of the Marine is designed to pay tribute to these exceptional men and women - the Carolina Marines – whose training prepared them for service and leadership in the defense of our country and freedom worldwide. Within the walls of this 40,000-square-foot facility, we will tell the stories of the Carolina Marines, their units, bases and stations and epic battles, and of the Carolina communities that have supported them.

Long Live the Legends, the six-minute video below, is your first glimps inside the Museum of The Marine by capturing the legendary story of the Marines and Sailors of the Carolinas..
