Enter into the Great Hall and immediately see its iconic windows adorned with the campaign and service medal ribbons awarded to Carolina Marine organizations. At the welcome desk, you will have opportunities to sign up for a guided tour with a docent who will share the legendary stories unique to the Lejeune and the Carolina air stations or sign up for one of the many education programs. Beside the welcome desk is our gift shop with apparel, collectables, souvenirs, books and CD’s and DVDs. The Great Hall will also be used for social and ceremonial activities. Walk next to the Orientation Theater to see a short movie and then begin visiting our four galleries.

 

In the Corps and Carolinas Gallery you will explore the history of the Marines within North and South Carolina, along with that of the bases and stations that have supported them.

 

In the second gallery, World Warriors Gallery, you will discover the epic battle history of the Carolina Marines including the many other diverse missions that took our Marines and their shipmates away from their home bases and stations and into harm’s way on foreign shores.

 

The third major gallery, the Today, Tomorrow and Beyond Gallery, will demonstrate evolving technologies and doctrine, to include new weaponry, concepts and equipment. Finally, the fourth and smallest gallery is the Changing Gallery. It will be used for any number of relatively temporary displays, to include expanding upon or showcasing a specific theme, activity, event or operation.
