Orientation Theater

Immerse yourself in the proud and distinguished history of the Carolina Marines via a 12-minute multimedia presentation in the Orientation Theater. Surround sound and high-definition projection enhance the poignant and inspiring story of the men and women who trained on the shores of North and South Carolina for service throughout the world.

Enjoy this introduction to the Museum’s exhibits in a theater whose stadium-style seating in staggered rows comfortably accommodates 60 people, with additional seating for ADA guests.

At the film’s conclusion, the screen lifts to reveal “Freedom Way.” This – the entryway to the Main Galleries – is the Museum’s re-creation of the view along Lejeune Boulevard that greets returning Marine units: yellow ribbons on trees, sheet banners hung from fences, and open arms ready to welcome home the Marines and honor them for their service.
