Phase I is Set to Begin!
The Museum of the Marine is pleased to announce its gift offer was received by the Secretary of the Navy for creating the Reflection and Celebration Park. The Reflection and Celebration Park will be located in the Lejeune Memorial Gardens aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The estimated value for the gift is between $1,300,000.00 - $1,500,000.00. Upon completion of the Park, the Secretary of the Navy will formally accept the gift from the Museum of the Marine.
According to Chairman Dave Brown, “This green light, to begin construction of what we refer to as Phase I, will greatly assist in raising funds needed for building and outfitting the Museum itself. I know that the City of Jacksonville will be thrilled with the start of the Museum. Their support has been invaluable.”
