Museum of The Marine to host documentary showing

A “Vietnam adventure” planned tonight in Jacksonville includes a documentary that seeks to take viewers back into the jungles of the Vietnam War.

The Museum of the Marine will host a showing of the new documentary Vietnam: An Inner View at Sywanyk’s Night Club, 222 Henderson Drive in Jacksonville from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the documentary showing at 7:15 p.m. The documentary is based on a four piece multimedia experience, featuring never before seen photography, scored to original music and contains dramatic retellings and music videos that provides insight into the upcoming series Tripwire! The Film, which encompasses all four parts, according to a press release on the documentary.

Retired Marine Lt. Col. David B. Brown, who serves as the chairman of the Museum of the Marine said the documentary has been in the works for about 30 years. It dates back to when then-Capt. Brown was in command of Fox company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment out of Camp Pendleton, California during the Vietnam War, where he first met Marc Waszkiewicz, an artillery forward observer.
