2015 Golf Tournament:5th Annual Military Heroes Golf Challenge
This year, the 5th Annual Military Heroes Golf Classic was another fun-filled event with new and familiar challenges. We had a get-a-new-car challenge, a get-two-steaks-a-week-for-a-year challenge, Dixon golf challenges on two holes, the use of a shotgun to tee off from the 10th hole, and the exciting raffle drawings.
What was new this year? The Joe Houle Golf Ball Drop. Players bought uniquely numbered golf balls for $10. They will place the ball into a container. When we were ready, the container with the numbered golf balls were lifted fifty feet into the air and dropped into a huge target with a single small bull’s eye in the center. Stan Walker had the numbered ball closest to the bull’s eye and won a quarter of the pot collected.
